My role involves understanding the unique threats each organisation faces, from phishing attacks and ransomware to insider risks and compliance gaps. I begin by carrying out thorough security assessments, looking at policies, processes, technologies, and human factors that could leave an organisation exposed. Based on the findings, I develop tailored strategies that balance security requirements with operational needs, ensuring that the measures are practical and sustainable. I also work closely with teams to improve incident response capabilities, so they can detect and react to breaches quickly, minimising potential damage. A key part of my work is educating staff at all levels about cybersecurity best practices, as human awareness plays a critical role in reducing risk. The goal is not only to protect systems and data but also to create a security-aware culture that supports the organisation’s objectives while staying ahead of evolving threats. For me, information security consulting is about providing clear guidance, enabling informed decision-making, and building resilience against the growing complexity of cyber risks.</p>
